Why Participate
If you have a writing goal you need to accomplish or you have a story in your head that you need to get out. Or just want to start a daily writing routine. The 2 Weeks of writing motivation will help you accomplish those tasks.
Starting on Aug 14th, 2023, I challenge you to write every weekday along with me and everyone else following along with the motivation.
What’s Involved
You pick what you want to accomplish every day. For example, do you want to write 3,000 words a day, or do you want to take baby steps and have a goal of one word? Whatever it is, set it and try to stick to it.
Then each day, you will receive an email with a nugget of motivation and an opportunity to interact with others in the challenge.
If you wrote that day, you can check in or share your struggles. You could cheer others on or even just say “Hi.” Or if you are a solitary individual, then don’t interact and just enjoy the nuggets of motivation.
Missing Days
I understand life can be hard and busy, and the day can fly by in a blink of an eye. However, I encourage you not to worry about the missed day and just start the next day again. Be intentional. As the saying goes, get right back on the horse when it bucks you off.
Or, if you are struggling, adjust your expectations. For instance, I’m going into this with low expectations because I want easy wins. So my goal is to sit in my chair, open Word, and write one word daily. That’s it. Nine out of ten times, it will lead to more words written.
